Le Mans Bugatti Circuit 0.98: A Major Update for rFactor 2

The rFactor 2 community is buzzing with excitement as ECAR Tracks releases a new version of their highly-regarded Le Mans Bugatti Circuit mod. Version 0.98 brings numerous improvements and bug fixes that will take your racing experience to the next level.

One of the most significant changes is the reworked tarmac dry texture, which now responds correctly to overall sunlight and increased fresnel levels. Additionally, tyre mark textures have been modified to correct a mistake in the previous version. The wet tarmac effects have also been revamped to better emulate puddles on the track.

Performance has been enhanced by correcting the load-out of high-poly elements such as tyre barriers, as well as converting several objects from Max Normals to GMotor Normals. This should result in smoother gameplay and reduced lag.

The environment has been enriched with additional details including ISI buses and trailers, flags, and human spectators in grandstands and yards. The amount of spectators increases during race sessions, adding to the immersive experience.

Several textures have been adjusted for better saturation and brightness, while the Dunlop Curve (T1) and main straight have been re-modeled to smooth out excessive bumping. Gaps between boxes wall and tarmac surface have also been corrected, as well as misplaced back-garage doors of the main pit building.

For those who like to customize their experience, Visgroups have been included for track-side objects, allowing players to take advantage of the Circuit Detail menu for improved performance.

Finally, an issue that caused AI cars to fail to turn on their headlights at night has been fixed, and some wrong textures mapping in boxes buildings have also been corrected.
